“In the 42 years since I closed my first major community development transaction in DFW, I have remained focused solely on residential land for developers and residential lots for select homebuilders.” —TIM
Land
I currently specialize with varying degrees of focus on the following submarkets. Over the past couple of years I have become quite familiar with both land parcels and active communities in Melissa, Princeton and New Hope. These municipalities are in addition to submarkets that I have diligently worked, on and off, for decades. These include Anna, Rockwall, Fate, Royse City and Forney. I believe all of these submarkets continue to have tremendous long-term upside.
LOTS
Having studied economics as a graduate student, I have always been fascinated by the vagaries of price cycles in the land market. Over the decades I have witnessed four complete regional cycles. One important thing I’ve noticed is that with both the ups and the downs there are always exaggerated price swings in both directions. I always try to remember that we are arguably in America’s most explosive and resilient housing market, decade after decade.
